.

.A work of art contains its verifications in itself; artificial, strained concepts do not with stand the test of being turned into images;they fall to pieces, turn out to be sickly and pale, convince no one. Works which draw on truth and present it to us in live and concentrated form grip us, compellingly involve us, and no one ever, not even ages hence, will come forth to refute them.

Climb like the Cannibal

Climb Like The Cannibal (Eddie Merckx)
Here is a new stencil I spotted while out on a ride in the country the other day.
Nicely placed in the middle of a good climb, just at the right time to inspire the rider who sees it to effortlessly, and with loads of style, glide gracefully up to the summit.

Well that's the idea (so I am told).

Merckx, nick named 'The Cannibal' because he won everything he wanted to in his time.
Stencil looks pretty good here, even sprayed on the rough road surface.
